Close to Perpignan, Bezier, Narbonne, Montpellier, Carcassonne, Collioure, St. Cyprien, the fabulous Mediterranean beaches and the diversity of the Pyrenees. Barcelona and Gerona, Spain are an easy drive.  Villa Rose, an 1850 era villa, is in historic Vernet les Bains.   Nearby Prades is most famous for its annual music festival, the Pablo Casals Festival, 
with musicians from all over the world.

Each suite at the villa is individually designed to provide complete self sufficiency for a comfortable holiday in the south of France. The villa is appointed with the graceful architectural detailing of its era, boasting huge French doors opening onto ornate balconies and tall ceilings framed with elegant molding. The original murals in the front hallway have been restored to their original charm. Perfectly situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees in Southern France, with a wealth of natural and historic wonders, Vernet-les-Bains is a charming village with a fascinating old  quarter, centered around an ancient hill top church.  There are lovely parks with abundant flowers lining the river and wonderful opportunities for walking in the Pyrenees and around the town. A central market area offers a lively market three times a week and there are several cafes and shops around the marketplace. The villa is situated within walking distance from the center of Vernet, which makes it very convenient for popping out to get a fresh baguette, bottle of wine, fresh produce and cheese from the market. Vernet is also home to a thermal spa which specializes in treatment for respiratory problems and rheumatism.
